Problem with screen rotation

Hi,

Hardware :Silicon Motion : EM4+ chip, Software : XPe
w/SP1. System : Wireless Tablet, with XPe on Compact
Flash. Once I have installed the driver from SMI, the
screen rotation seems to be working fine as long as I
don't reboot it. Here is the problem: once I rotate the
screen 90 or 180 degree then reboot it ==> system will
only boot up until loading the SMI's icon (on the task bar
on the bottom of the screen) then freezed. The strange
thing is that if I repeat the about step, but rotate 270
degree instead of 90 degree ==> no problem.

I have also tried the same driver with our tablet using
HDD with XP Professional loaded ==> not problem with any
rotations.

In addition, I have also used a dependency check utility
on the above enviroments ==> no differences btn. them.

Any advise would be apriciated

Thanks,
Lawless

You haven't specifically mentioned whether you have created a componentized
version of the driver specifically for XPe, or if you are installing the
driver under the XPe environment.

I went though hell creating a component version of Pivot Winportrait, but my
hellish experiences are probably not relevant if you managed to simply
install SMI drivers into XPe post FBA and prior to Reseal.

Graham.

Hi Graham,

I installed the driver under the XPe environment. (not
componentized).

Thanks,
Lawless
