Problem with programs (explorer/outlook/restore)

When I open MS explorer, the page is blank. The background
color is there but no words or pictures. IT does this on
ALL sites.
The same for Out Look. The email will down load but
nothing will be there.
I tried to use the restore (windows XP) but keep getting
this message "The application or DLL:\windows\system32
\msls31.DLL is not a valid image". Any ideas what
happened. My anti virus has not pick anything up.
This all started while I was on line Sunday night.

A good starting point might be the System File Checker. At the Run prompt,
type: sfc /scannow

SFC will compare each WinXP file with the "known good" copy held in your
on-disk cache and replace any missing or damaged ones it finds. Have your
WinXP CD-ROM ready; SFC probably will want to see it.
