Problem with PivotTable of FoxPro Database

In Excel 2000 we are using a pivottable that is linked to
a server based foxpro database. It works fine under
Windows XP Professional, but the refreshing of data is
painfully slow under Windows 2000.

It used to work fine under Windows 2000 before we
installed Windows XP on some of our computers. Does
anybody has any idea what the problem might be. The FoxPro
Driver we installed under XP is slightly different from
the one under 2000 (6.01.8629.01 and 6.01.8230.01), but I
cannot imagine that explains the problem.

Hi Hans

Depending on your environment (server & clients) you may
be experiencing a file locking error. Where the server is
not releasing the file lock

The 8629 driver is the latest one. You can download it from
