problem with opening PDF files

I am unable to open any pdf file in the IE 6, it shows an
image placeholder icon on top-left of the window. It was
working fine till i reinstalled windows on my computer...!

any help would be appreciated.
 
Re-install your Acrobat reader. When you re-installed Windows it did not
automatically re-install all other programs.
