problem with opening folders

HI whenever i double click on a folder, my windows search window will come up, instead of displaying the contents of the folder. Is there anyway to change this back to how it was before where I could double click and just see what's in the folder? I'm not even sure how this search window came up. Now to see what's in the folder, I have to right click--> explore to see the contents of a folder. Thanks for the help
