Problem with OE Express Attachments

I'm having a problem sending out attachments. Whenever I
try to send out a Word attachment (.doc) it attaches fine
but adds .lnk to the end of the attachment.

i.e., if I send out a file called MyResume.doc, and click
to attach it, it will attach itself as MyResume.doc.lnk

Another problem with this is that I have had 2 seperate
recipients email me back to tell me that they couldn't
open the .doc attachment on their end. I forwarded the
same email to myself and I was able to open it fine. I'm
wondering if the .lnk being added to the end of the file
when I attach it is causing the error.

How do I correct this? Please help!

Thank you!

Probably you're trying to attach a shortcut of the document [not the actual doc]
