problem with newer version of firefox

Firefox just came up asking to upgrade and when i did it, it came back
saying jave 6.01 is not compatable with this version of firefox. then it
checks and comes back and says that when an update is available it will let
you know.

I have seen this on 3 computers so far, even on my vista. Has anyone seen
this or knows any info about when the latest upgrade will incorporate this?

Robin,

I quote:

"The problem is that the Java Console extension which is automatically
installed with Java SE 6 has accidentally been marked as incompatible with
all versions after Firefox 2.0 by the folks over at Sun.
You can safely ignore that warning though - unless you really need quick
access to the Java Console on a regular basis, you won't miss any
functionality at all."

Hope that helps,
?:)

Dennis Henderson from the GRC newsgroups has posted a fix for those who need
the console:

Download and drag to the add-ons dialog box.
