problem with MOVE rule

Hi, I'm on an IMAP server and am having a problem with MOVE
rules in outlook. I'm on several high-volume email lists,
and the mails I get from those lists have tags such as
[NEWSTALK]. I have a rule set up to MOVE emails with
"[NEWSTALK]" in the subject into a folder.

My problem is that for some of the emails, the rule does
not work and the email ends up in my inbox rather than in
the folder. When I run the rule manually through the "Run
Rules Now.." dialog, it catches any of the missed emails
that are sitting in my inbox and moves them into the right
folder. Having to run the rules manually to clear the
clutter is a pain - why isn't the rule catching these stray
emails when they come in?

If you could respond to my email address, I would really
appreciate it - thanks in advance!

I've had a similar problem for awhile with an IMAP account. It doesn't
usually happen, but every once in awhile it does. If anyone has a reason
this happens with some IMAP messages or a solution/work-around, that'd be
great!

I just wanted to be sure that any solutions get posted to the group and not
just sent to Mike.

Thanks,

- J.
