Problem with login on XP Home Edition

After signeing with correct password windows can not proceed with boot
up.Instead goes back in log off mode and prompts back to sign in mode. I
can't pass that point. I can turn off the Windows.But wont start Again.Please
anybody Help.
 
Restart your computer... then press F8 a bunch of times until you see
an options screen. Select "Last known good configuration" That should
solve it!

Have you recently removed any spyware? If so that can be a by product.
