problem with ie shorcut

could someone tell me how do i get my ie shorcut back on the desktop and also
when i click on ie shorcut it goes to internet properties how can i fix these
problems pleas help

Right click on the desktop and select Proprties then the Desktop and General
tabs. Tick the box for Internet Explorer under "Desktop Items".
