Problem With IE 6 and Google

S

Scott

I had IE6 set up to use google as my default search engine when doing
address bar searches but something seems to have gone wrong. Now when I
type in items to search for such as "ie search google default" I get a Page
Could Not Be Displayed message with the following in the address bar:
http:///? ie search google deafult
I'm guessing something was altered in the registry since IE is still set to
allow searches from the address bar. I tried applying the google .reg file
to set the default address bar search to google again but it didn't work.
This happened once before and the only way I managed to fix it was doing a
clean install. If anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful for the help.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

I ran the program and the results were:
Done!
Your system was completely clean.

Windows XP (5.01.2600 SP1)
CWShredder v1.54.0

So it looks like it wasn't CW. Very puzzling. Any other ideas?
