Problem With Hyperlinks in MS-Word doument

I am unable to open Hyperlinks through my word document.Its giving error like
cannot open the link internet server or proxy server is not found.

Give me a suggestion on that one.

Are you using a Firewall product on your PC? If so,
is 'Winword.exe' (MS Word) setup as allowed to go
through the firewall to the internet?
