Problem with HP d7160 printer

I am having a problem with my HP d7160 printer.

It's telling me I am out of a certain color when I have already
replaced the cartridge.

I am running XP Home Edition.

can be remedied by resetting - leave the printer on - disconnect the usb
- remove the ink cartridges - await insert cartridges - pull the power
cord for 60sec - restore power - restore cartridges - restore USB.

I cleaned the contacts and a printer reset as well.

The printer is only a few years old and used very little.

That will be the last of ANY HP product I buy.

And I will make sure my friends know about my experience.
