I uninstalled Google Desktop Search, and cleaned out all files and folders
related to Google Desktop Search. However, whenever I start Outlook, an error
message pops up, saying: "The add-in "C:\Program Files\Google Desktop
Search\GoogleDesktopO..." could not be installed or loaded. This problem may
be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Unable to load
"C:\Program Files\Google Desktop S...". You may be out of memory, out of
system resources, or missing a .dll file."

I did Detect and Repair and it didn't solve the problem. I also tried
removing Office/Outlook and reinstalling, but guess what, it's still there!
I don't know what "file" to look for in order to remove it. Another user
previously posted the same problem and the response was IE > Tools > Internet
Options > Programs > Manage Add-Ons, but there is nothing there about Google,
unless it's one of those "coded" entries and I don't know which one it is.

Somebody PLEASE HELP! I need clear instructions as I'm not a complete
techie/geek yet, but working on it.

Thanks,
Rita

There is no file there - I'm using windows XP and in the manage addons it
only has "add-ons used by internet explorer" and "add-ons currently installed

No, you are in the wrong place. Open Outlook, not IE, and go to tools,
options, other, advanced options, Addin Mgr at the bottom of page and uncheck
the Google addin.

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS - IT WORKED!
