Problem with Genuine Update Validation error

Hi,
I received the counterfeit software msg on my Win XP Pro. However, "winver"
shows it's licensed to me. My brother purchased it directly from the
Microsoft headquarters store and installed it on my pc, so I don't understand
why I'm getting this message. The problem is I can't find the cd. I ran
Belarc Advisor and have the license number and the Key code. Plus, Support
tells me I'm not eligible for free email support! Can anybody help me resolve
this issue?
