Problem with External USB Hard Drive

Hi - I have a new WD Passport USB External Hard Drive that randomly
disconnects and reconnects during transfer of files. I read
Microsoft
KB article 908673, which says that there is a hotfix for this
problem,
but I must call MS pay support to get it???

1) Is there another method to get the USBEHCI and USSPORT versions in
the hotfix?


2) Could there be another problem?

Follow the directions in the KB and talk to the tech representative.
Any hotfix needed is usually e-mailed. And there is no charge for this
service.
