Problem with external usb 2.0 hard drive and resizing

I have a new 160gb hard drive I intended to install in a external
usb2.0 case. But before I did that I tried it in an old DX-66 machine
and I fdisked it. Now it acts like a 529mb hard drive. I tried to
reformat with partion magic 7.0 and it reformats at 529mb. Any idea
how to get it back to 160 or even 137gb?
 
I think the DX-66 only supports 530MB HDD, try to fdisk it on a system that
supports 160GB
