Problem with deleting files on USB drive

I have a Kingston USB Memory Flash drive, 512 MB.

For some reason, I am unable to delete some of my folders and files on my
USB drive.

Most of the file names have changed but not the directory name. A few
examples of the file name being changed are:

800\tx18.00\

ñ╠q┴×Öýß.╣■▀

I tried renaming the file and the folders but that didn't work - I was still
unable to delete them.

I tried reformatting the drive but that didn't work either.

I also tried to go into the properties for the drive and do a check disk but
I get an error saying that the check disk utility needs exclusive access to
some Windows files on the disk and the files can only be accessed by
restarting Windows - even that didn't work.

Defragment said that my drive was corrupted.

I ran chkdsk /f and this is the result I get:

G:\>chkdsk /f
The type of the file system is FAT32.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Chkdsk may run if this volume is dismounted first.
ALL OPENED HANDLES TO THIS VOLUME WOULD THEN BE INVALID.
Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? (Y/N)

Any ideas????
