problem with default email account

I am using Outlook 2003 with two email accounts. For some reason I can not
modify the default account used for replying. Changing default account in
email accounts does not have any effect. I always have to go to Accounts and
choose account manually, otherwise it will be sent from wrong account. How I
can fix this problem ?

Tony

A short clarification which may help. When I create new message defaul
account comes correct. It is only with Reply when I have problems with this
default account.

By default, replies and forwards are always sent through the account through
which the original message was received. You'd have to change the account
manually.

Jocelyn-

The behavior you describe works for me (replies and forwards are
always sent through the account through
which the original message was received). However I also have 2
accounts in Outlook 2003 - one is MAPI (outlook connector for domino)
and one is POP. I can highlight the POP acct and choose "set as
default" and then when I create a "new message" it will default to the
POP. However when I restart outlook the MAPI account again becomes
the default and "new message" will get sent through MAPI unless I
change it manually for each message or go to "email accounts" and set
POP to default again (but this is an exercise in futility).

Is there a registry switch or some trick I can use to get outlook to
work correctly (like it used to)?

Thanks,
-Stein

I'm not sure how the Outlook Connector for Domino works, but have you tried
deleting and recreating that account? (Make sure your mail is still in
Domino first, or that you have a good backup of it...)
