Problem with booting (2)

The last known good configuration didnt work. the same message appeared.

- Boot the machine with your WinXP boot CD.
- Select "Repair" when prompted.
- Select "Recovery Console" when prompted.
- Using a sequence of "CD" commands, navigate to
this folder:
c:\windows\system32\config
- Rename the file "system" to "system.bad"
- Rename the file "system.alt" to "system".
- Reboot the PC.
