Problem with a shared printer

I am a win2000 pro client and I want to use a Canon LBP 660 printer
which is attached to a Win98se pc. This printer is shared and I can
access to the win98 pc over the network.

I got the win2000 drivers. The problem occurs when I want to install
the printer on my pc. I did "Add printer / Network printer / Browse"
and choosed the remote shared printer. When I press "Next", I get the
error: "An unexpected error occured while setting up the printer. This
setup failed (error code : S5, 5L)." I get the same error message when
I try to connect to the shared printer (right button/connect).

I tried to install as local printer, it's ok, the drivers are well
installed. But, of course, I cannot print...

I am logged as a user with administrators rights.

Where is the error?

What port did you use when you set this up as a local printer? If LPT1, try
net use lpt1 \\computername\printersharename.

If you used a standard TCP/IP port, make sure the IP address/name is
correct.

thank you, but this command return "error 67, name unknown". the
shared printer name has a space in it (lbp 660). is it the reason?

I did a mistake in my previous post: the pc with the canon lbp 660 is
a millenium one, not win98se.

I tried with another printer (canon s400) on another pc (win98se) and
it works.
