Problem window pops up on starting Outlook

When I open a message in Outlook, I get a pop up window saying " MS Outlook
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. Please tell Microsoft about this problem." This disables my
incoming message. On MS help website I am informed this may be due to a
BHO(browser helper object), but I cannot find a BHO. Any advice would be
appreciated.
 
try deleting cookies and files (control panel/internet options)
What operating system do you have?
