Problem viewing images

Instead of images I get a small square box with ann "x" in the upper left corner. Any suggestions on how to fix will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check Internet Options> Advanced> Multimedia. Check boxes for the types of
multimedia content that you want displayed by the browser.
