Problem viewing 2 nd page of Text

I have had an ongoing problem with documents that exceeded (1) page in
length. Any text that I create over (1) page disappears. I have changed
views, but with no success. If I have a multi page document I must save each
page as a seperate file.
 
Go to Format | Columns and click on the One button.
