Problem - two installations of windows XP

I recently had to reformat my computer (it corrupted the NTFS.sys dll and
would not start windows). The computer would not boot off of my (new)
Windows XP Pro Full installation CD, so I had to use my laptop's system disks
(which had XP Home). Once the computer was reformated and stabilized on XP
Home, I then proceded to install XP Pro. Installation completed without much
problem, however now each time I boot up I am asked which OS I want to use:
XP Pro or XP Home. How do I get rid of XP Home? I don't want to just mask
it - I really want it to go away. It is making my computer sluggish and
frankly, it worries me!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Heather, it appears that you performed a parallel install of WinXP
Pro. It doesnt have it's own partition. If that's correct
then rt click MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Startup and
Recovery-Settings>Make sure that WinXP Pro is
showing in the Default Operating System Box. If not click on down
arrow and select WinXP Pro. Then choose Edit
and in the timeout = 30 line change the 30 to 1. Save the change you
just made and click Ok.
Now in C: look for two Windows Folders. It might say Windows and
Windows2. Delete the WinXP Home Windows folder.
