[Problem] Suddenly IE Slows Up drastically with javascript using sites!

hi!

I have WinXP Sp1 with all security patches (online update) + newest norton
2004 (antivirus).

everything was working perfekt. got many worms per email, but the got
deletet really quick. since to days suddenly
the IE explorer gets into slow motion with javascript using sites (but not
all). for example when a site has a popup, the popup screen gets loaded very
slow (not talking about the actual page, I mean that window thing). and my
system gets a >50% usage.

PLS help me! it really takes away my last nerve.. before two days everything
was working perfekt!

Same deal here, suddenly (three days ago) IE just started
being too slow for me to even deal with. Most, not all,
page loads are extremely slow. I'm thinking it may have
something to do with Norton, i say this because the
problem just seemed to arise after installing Norton
Systemworks 2004. Hope someone knows the solution.
