Problem - stationery from Windows site

Hi. I'm having a problem. I did search this group first and did find some
information but it doesn't help me. I'm trying to download some Windows Mail
Stationery from the Microsoft site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/stationery.aspx but it's not
showing up on my computer after I install it.

At first I was just clicking on what I wanted, and then selecting to run.
It went through and seemed to install normally. Note: I have UAC turned off.
Also even though the download page says Windows Mail when it finishes
installing it says Outlook Express. I have also tried installing it via
clicking to save and then running after, along with right clicking it once
downloaded and selecting to run as adminstrator (even though I am the
administrator).

I know about the different storage folders. (I have the hidden folders
viewable.) I have looked in both folders and the stationery that I just
downloaded is nowhere to be found. Just to be sure I tried two different
files and they both seem to install fine but don't show up anywhere.

I have downloaded other Windows Mail stationery from another site and it
puts it right where it's supposed to go and works fine. Is there something
I'm missing here? Could there be another folder that it's installing into
other than the two I know about? (the one under common files and the one
under appdata - don't feel like typing the whole paths) I did see something
about a Windows Live stationery folder but I don't appear to have that one on
my computer.

In WinMail they changed the location of the stationery directory to be
within the message store. So you may need to look there instead of the old
location. If you compose a new message with stationery then go to View |
Source Edit and then look at the source and at the top the path to the
stationery folder will be listed after the <BASE href= part. The download
may have gone to the old stationery folder which is located at C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Stationery, so you can check there also.

Hi Robert,

That takes me to the overview page of the download page that I was using. I
tried again and the files still can't be found.

Hi Steve,

This doesn't help either. I said I already knew where the new folder was as
well as the old one. The new one is:
C:\Users\Lisa\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Stationery\. The
stationery I dowloaded from another site downloaded into this folder just
fine. I also have checked the old location: C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery and it'sd not there either. Have tried to
install two different items from the Microsoft site a couple different times.
It acts like it's installing, thanks me and when I look for the
files....they just aren't there.

Any other ideas?

Update for those interested:

I found where the files are going. They have in fact installed into another
folder than the two previously mentioned. I don't know if it would have
helped if I mentioned this in the begining but my new computer has the 64 bit
version of Vista Home Premium on it. I found the stationery from the
Microsoft site had installed in the following folder: C:\Program Files
(x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\Stationery.

Now I can go ahead and download some more and hopefully move them to the
other location without any trouble.
