Problem starting Windows

I have problems starting Windows, I have the XP home edition Service Pack2,
my computer just freze when I turn it on, when open the Windows task manager
apparently there's no problem but Windows never start and when I chose to
restart it show"explorer.exe not respond" I have tried using past dates
configuration and works 1 or 2 times but then fail again, can somebody help
me.

Joe, Did you find a solution to the problem? My Windows XP stops in the
progress wndows and doesn't start. Any ideas? Chetty

Did you find any solution the problem? My problem is on-going. If you've
