problem sending attachments in outlook (2007 BETA)

When sending e-mails with attachments (Word, Exel), the receivers do get the
email but without the attachment. In outlook express i don't have this
problem.
i don't think it's the ISP also tried changing rich text into plain.
any suggestions?

Try start->run->outlook /safe and check if your able to send
attachments.Also let me if you have any addins installed, Antivirus and
Firewall.

won't work either, but now i found out that changing the message format from
html to plain text does seem to work with some receivers.
"using AVG virus and windows defender" no addins.
