Problem Scrolling - Very Jerky and Slow

I did an upgrade install of Vista Ultimate over XP Media Center. I had
several issues, but the most troublesome is with my mouse. I can no longer
scroll easily. On webpages, in Word, in Excel, in Notepad, when I attempt to
scroll down it seems to hang, then jumps forward. The side bar also is very
jerky and jumpy. I have a Logitech MX laser 1000. I've uninstalled the
software and reinstalled 3 times (they have new Vista software) to no avail.
I've now uninstalled it and am running it in embedded mode...no luck. I
tried using other mice...no luck. I've got 3 gigs of RAM and a 2.7 gighz
processor. My rating is 3.7, so it shouldn't be a hardware issue, but it
feels like it is...it's as if there are numerous very resource intensive
applications running and bogging it down (there aren't).
I called Microsoft and talked to someone in India that was no help whatsoever.

My Microsoft keyboard is also acting funny. When I tab or use the arrow,
the tab seems to lock and it darts from cell to cell until I hit the keyboard.

My computer is almost unusable at this point. I never, ever had a problem
with XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That my friend sounds like a display driver problem . I suggest you update
to the newest drivers availible for your machine. If you can post your pc's
specs we can tell you which to get or further assist in this problem.

try reversing the box in IE properties option for SMOOTH scroll. if checked, uncheck it or other way around.

might also check for newer display drivers.

Scrolling problem solved - installed the HP mouse that came with the computer
instead of the optical mouse; however, just installed the Logitech cordless
click optical mouse and no problem with this mouse either. Hope this helps!
Good luck!
Previously went to logitech website to download updates for the type of
mouse I had...didn't work...but advised to use Hp mouse.
