I moved to Access years ago. I still use 2000 version. Up until now it has
worked well. All of a sudden I find that any changes I make to one of my
databases does not hold - after a couple of days the changes are gone. When I
check properties I find it refers to last changes made in September of this
year even though I made changes yesterday. This has become very frustrating,
as you can imagine. Any suggestions?
Sincerely,
vsii

If the database file is on a network, I'd see if something strange isn't
happening there like they are restoring from backup tape for some reason.

Next I'm make sure that Compact on Close is turned off. If the database is
badly corrupt, it can lose records when compacting. If you do a manual
Compact and Repair, it will warn you. If during a Compact on Close, it
doesn't.

The other possibility is that you are putting data into one database but
later on opening up another database file. Do you use something that
automatically loads a new front end file? That shouldn't bother the BE data
file, but something is strange.
