Problem Saving Files

I need an adjustment. When I try to save a file and my
cursor passes over another file, the name of the file I
am trying to save changes. Where can I go to change this
setting. Thanks

This should be affected from the click and select settings in the
Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > General > Click items as follows.
