Problem Running AD Logon Scripts

M

Matt Bracken

I Have a WAN site connected over a 56k Frame Relay connection.
The site does not have a DC. There are only 5 users with manual IP
addressing. DNS seems fine.
When the user logs into the domain, it authenticates to the master DC.
(%logonserver%=jstdc)
If I choose reconnect at logon, the drives will remap.
I have tried an lmhosts file on a remote workstation:

192.8.200.2 "JACNT \0x1b" #PRE
192.8.200.2 jstdc #PRE #DOM:JACNT

When the user logs in a logon script does not run.
If I assign the user a logon script it does not run.
Since there is no DC at the site, I do not have an AD Site for this remote
location
If I logon as a user in that OU from our main subnet the logon script runs
fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is the router at this remote site filtering TCP/IP packets?

If I remember correctly you should allow LDAP and RPC application access
through a router.

Try turning off slow link detection in the group policy. Basically set the
speed to 0. This worked for me.
