Chuck D.

Hi, i'm Luke from Italy.
I use Outlook 2003 on WinXP and i've this question: every week i make a
backup of Outlook and my "Outlook.pst" file is about 800Mb. Yesterday
i've made a clean deleting a large amount of old mail, contact, etc,
etc but my .pst file is always 800Mb.
Is there any reason because the .pst file not become little? How can
made to decrease the dimension of the .pst file?
Thanks at all for answers.
Bye.

Either you didn't compact the file manually or your computer has not had sufficient idle time for the automatic, background compaction process to kick in.
