Problem - Outlook 2002

Doug

I am having a serious issue with Outlook 2002 beginning today.

I am unable to send or receive messages - I get the following message on my
email accounts:

Task 'ICC Lending - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C) :
'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

Task 'SBCGLOBAL - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C) :
'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

Task 'Catch All - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C) :
'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

Task 'Investors Capital - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C)
: 'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

Task 'Hilton Mortgage - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x8004060C) :
'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

When I am in a folder and I try to delete a message, I get an error message
stating:

Messaging Interface has returned an unknown error.

I have started and restarted my system, outlook, etc. a number of times. No
luck at all in getting past what ever got hosed.

Any suggestions???

close Outlook, search for the file scanpst.exe and run it on your default
PST file. see if this helps.

Bill - I tried that and it did not fix the problem.

Does Outlook have a file size limit for the Outlook.pst file??? Could I
possible have too many emails (I rarely delete anything having to do with
work)?????

Thanks,
Doug

The PST can be up to 2,000,000,000 bytes - 1.86 GB (although you may start
seeing issues around 1.5 GB. Each folder can contain up to 16K or 64K
items, depending on whether or not Large Table Support is enabled. For
Outlook 2002, the option to enable large table support was made automatic if
the folder requires it.
