Inbox broken?

P

Patrick

I'm running Outlook 2002 on Windows 98.
Email has worked fine up until Saturday 9/11.

Yesterday, I noticed my email not coming into the INBOX...
I went online to my email server provider and
the emails are there, so the server works.

I also have a program on my computer (Vital AgentIT)that
shows me that emails are coming across the web from the
server.

However, the emails aren't going into the Inbox.

I get the error:
Sending and Receiving' reported error
(0x8004060C) : 'Unknown Error 0x8004060C'

The emails aren't being deleted from my mail server
(which is hosted off-site by my web hosting company)
so why aren't the emails going into my INBOX?

I tried to run "Detect and Repair" and that did not work...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Best regards,

Patrick

How big is your Personal Folders file? (There is a file size limit of
1.8GB. There are also constraints on how many folders and items per folder
can be stored.)

The other thing to watch for is that if you have any time of antivirus
software that can scan POP3 mail as it it downloaded may and often does
interfere with Microsoft Outlook. If you can turn the scanning of e-mail
off, but leave the rest of the machine protected, you should be okay.
