Problem Opening IE

I can not open IE when the "Enable Third Party Extensions" bok is checked
(Properties/Advanced). I get a message to send an error report to
Microsoft. As soon as the box is unchecked, IE does open. Any suggestions?
Is IE corrupted? If corrupted, how do I fix IE?
