Problem Opening A File Using IE 6.0

Ashraf Jamadar

Hi,

Currently I am encountering a problem when I try
to open a file using IE 6.0.

Problem summary is as under:

-------------------------------------------------------
There is a file in the folder

ftp://ebusa_po:[email protected]/10.pdf

When I open a new session of IE and enter
ftp://ebusa_po:[email protected]/10.pdf

in the address field to open the file I get the following
error:

'
The page cannot be displayed
'

But when I enter only
ftp://ebusa_po:[email protected]/
in the address field then I can open the folder and see
the file 10.pdf
which can be accessed by double clicking on it.

In the same session if I enter the entire address again
ftp://ebusa_po:[email protected]/10.pdf
then the this file opens up again.

So is there any way by which such files can be opened in
the first attempt with the entire address.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ashraf

In reply to one of your other posts I suggested a Knowledge Base article.
