Problem opening 16 bit application

P

Pete

My PC has developed a problem over the weekend, worked
fine yesterday. Tried to open an application which worked
ok yesterday but a message box popped up which read "16
Bit Windows Subsystem" and then contains the following
message..........

C:\Windows|system32\autoexec.NT. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the
application.

The application I'm trying to open is a Windows
programme. Any clues as to how to solve this problem.

Thanks in anticipation
Pete

Carey,

I followed your advise and it worked, however when I
reboot, the autoexec.nt file (this appears to be the one
causing the problem) keeps disappearing. Therefore I'm
required to keep re-installing it. Do you have any
solution to my problem.

Thanks once again
Pete
