Problem of the W2K server in file/print service

D

Delphi

My company using W2K as file/print server.
I have a problem that the W2K server will not response for the client
connection, such as :
(1) For user who logged in, they cannot using the mapped drive.
(2) For User want to login when the server has problem, the message
box is "invalid password" etc.

When the problem occur, the server did not hang up. I can open some
application, such as control panel, services, event log etc. No
special event occur in event log.

The only thing to resume service is to restart the server.

Any suggestion to solve that problem??

Thanks.

configuration :

2 x W2K server, with DNS, WINS, AD and DFS service for WIN98/WINXP
users.
1 x NT4 DHCP server

What errors do they get?

What does "the server has problem" mean?

Is this happening for all users?

Client computer will display error :- cannot access the drive.

"the server has problem" mean :- when the above problem occur.

No error message in the event log of the W2K servers.

I think the problem may be caused by the authentication module of W2K.
But I don't know how to test it.
