(problem)Need For Speed Underground 2 LAN play

Hi! Can someone assist me please on how to, or step by step instructions,
how to play NFS Underground 2 lan play. The two PC's are joined with a crossover cable. Everytime want to connect, takes long sayin connecting to LOBBY, the says
I lost the connection, Please help!(There is the same question here, but there is no answers)
