What would cause my mouse to occasionally start moving around by itself?
I hit esc and it stops but this is getting very irritating.

Thanks

If your mouse is moving all by itself, than it must be a ghost. Or maybe
your desk needs leveling. If your cursor on the screen moves all by itself,
that is another thing altogether.

I know that was not much help, but I could not resist.

you might have a backdoor trojan and someone in china or russia is running
your computer, reading all your private data and files, etc. What AV
program are you running? When the mouse starts moving, does it stop when
you go off-line?

I have seen mechanical problems and driver problems. I have heard of
virus problems.

Make sure your mouse is clean, good connections, (new batteries if
cordless) and the drivers are the most current available.

To Ed HaHa!! I have tried updating the mouse driver.
It is not a cordless mouse, the cursor will start randomly moving in a jerky
way, it only does it sometimes. How do you remove the drivers? and reload?
