Problem loading Win2000

When attempting to load Win2000, currently have Win98 OS, I get a message -
"Your multi-function device (Standard Dual PCI IDE Controller) has some
child devices using 32-bit drivers and others using compatibility-mode
drivers. This configuration is not supported so your computer halted to
prevent corruption.

After you restart your computer, Windows will use compatibility-mode drivers
for each child device attached to this multi-function device. If you want
to use 32-bit drivers, you may have to obtain an updated driver for the
device that caused the problem by contacting a hardware manufacturer, or you
can disable the device."

How do I determine the problem device other than as mentioned the Standard
Dual PCI..........., is it a scanner, printer, or where do I look to correct
the problem?

It's your IDE drive controller. Check the pc or mb manufacturer's web site
for the latest Windows 2000 driver for your drive controller.
