Problem Internet explorer and Acrobat

I use Firefox 1.5 but am trying out IE7. I have Adobe Acrobat 7 pro and I
have set my system so that pdf files clicked in the browsers open the
document in Acrobat 7. Now this has been working just fine but a have
found a site which although it opens its top level PDF in Acrobat 7 I cannot
open any sub document pdfs.

If I change everything back so that the pdf opens within the browsers then I
can open all the pdf documents.

Anyone know what might be causing the block?

The pdf data sheets I am trying to open do not have any security settings.

When a PDF file is opened through the browser, ACrobat links with the
document are opened based on using the Acrobat Reader Windows Handler of the
activex control. If you are forcing the opening to use Acrobat as a
separate process, the links are still encoded to look for the parent based
on a CLSID of the ActiveX Acrobat Reader.

The Web interfaces are different than the application stored on your
computer

Understood. Might there be any temporary keypress etc I could use to have
the doc open in reader?
