Problem Installing xp home edition

hi
i m having a problem

i am trying to install xp home edition and
i get an error message
file\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded
the error code is 7
do you have any idea?
i ran fdisk created a partition made it active and formated the drive and
sys c:
after that under d: i tryed setup
at this time i get the blue screen for windows to start the setup
and the error message

You could have and should have booted from the XP CD to format your drive
and install Windows. Try again by going into the BIOS, changing the boot
order, and booting from the CD.
