Mary O.

Basically as a university student I had access to a copy
of win xp pro.iso file. When I burnt the file to a cd the
cd didn't work. So i decided to use fantom cd to mount the
iso file and run it from there. Basically what happened is
that the computer rebooted and the setup module could no
longer locate files needed for installation. So I'm stuck
in this setup module that just keep saying it cant locate
the necessary files. I really need help for this issue as
I can't use my computer at all. Any suggestions that allow
for recovering the files that were previously on the
computer would be greatly appreciated.

Mary,

That method won't work. You need to get the CD working. Either bad media,
you didn't "finalize" the CD when you created the image, or the ISO file is
flawed.
