Problem in using PASTE SPECIAL in POWERPOINT

Guest

I am using COPY and PASTE SPECIAL to copy data from an EXCEL spreadsheet to a
POWERPOINT slide. The data are in color on my spreadsheet, but appear in
black after pasting in my POWERPOINT slide. Can anyone tell me how to get
the data displayed in POWERPOINT in color? It initially worked, but now
won't work. Thanks for any suggestions you might offer.

Walt,
Is your default printer a color printer or a black and white printer? Even
if you don't have a color printer available, try installing the drivers for
one and setting it as your default. Once that is done, try the copy paste.

I seem to recall that the different paste methods give different colors, but
am not finding my notes on which paste option you want.

In EXCEL, press and hold the Shift key when clicking on Edit. In the menu
you'll find Copy Picture instead of Copy then. In PowerPoint insert the
copied picture using Paste Special. It will keep the colors then.

Kind regards,
Ute
