Problem in "Update Rollup 1 for MS Windows XP"

I have now installed "Update Rollup 1 for MS Windows XP"
three times. Each time I log on to check for updates,
the "Update Rollup 1 for MS Windows XP" "needs to be
downloaded and installed, even though the Installation
history clearly shows that it has already been installed.

Is this a glitch in a recommended update?

Thanks for your posting.

I do understand that the previous installations are
listed -- but why does the MS system scan result in
Update itself telling me that I still need to download
something I've already downloaded. This hasn't happened
in the case of previous fixes or downloads. In those
cases, the scan didn't prompt me to download something
that's already been downloaded.
