Problem in start up of laptop

I am using Windows 2000 Professional. When trying to start up I received the
error messag: *** 0x0000001E (0xC0000005, 0x8041F898, 0x00000000, 0x00000030)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

I then tried to start in safe mode, but could not type in my password. Next
I tried to start up with operating cd, but was returned to the error message
above.

Next I tried to start up with my Windows 2000 Setup disk I prepared from the
operating system CD and received the following: BOOT: I/O Error reading disk.
Please insert another disk.

What can I do to start my computer?
