Problem hooking up kvm

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I recently got a new Dell p c and I am trying
to use it and my old one through a iogear kvm switch. I have a usb mouse my
keyboard is ps2 so I am using a couple of adapters. It works ok on the new
Dell but when I switch to my older p c it stays in bios and says keyboard not
detected. The kvm is ps2 in and usb out so I am using a usb to ps2 adapter
and plugging in where the keyboard was plugged in originally. I also tried a
usb port and had the same error. The kvm ia iogear mini view micro usb audio
model #GCS712U Should I try buying a usb keyboard ? Any help is
appreciated..

If your old computer is old enough to be pre-USB then it's likely that even
with the USB to PS2 adapter, it won't recognize the USB devices. Your best
bet with an older system is an all-PS2 switch. Sorry.
